The Largest and Most Established Travel Exhibition in Vietnam and the Mekong Region is Back!

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – The largest and most established travel exhibition in Vietnam and the Mekong region is back! The International Travel Expo, Ho Chi Minh City – ITE HCMC is growing faster than ever with confirmed new and repeat exhibitors creating the largest show to date.

The 9th edition of ITE HCMC 2013 is set to cover 5,000 square metres at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in Ho Chi Minh City, and will be held from the 12th to 14th September 2013. The first two days of the exhibition will be opened only to trade visitors, with public visitors welcome to join the event on Saturday, 14th September 2013.

ITE HCMC 2013 will showcase over 300 exhibiting organisations from over 50 destinations with more than 18,000 international, regional and local trade and public visitors. The exhibition provides an excellent platform to launch inbound and outbound travel businesses in Vietnam and the Mekong region. The exhibition will return bigger and busier with more regional and international exhibitors, housing more seller companies and attracting a wider range of travel products and services.

ITE HCMC is declared as the only national travel event with international standing in Vietnam. This year, ITE HCMC is proud to announce that Thailand will be joining the Mekong Tourism Alliance together with Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam to endorse this event and form the theme: “5 Countries – A Single Destination”.

The organising committee comprises of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, VINEXAD and Informa Exhibitions has put together a series of new and exciting features and programmes for the exhibition, catering to tourism industry professionals, dignitaries, ministries and the general public.

ITE HCMC has also become a recognised platform for destinations and organisations from the Asia Pacific region and beyond to promote tourism and business exchange for their respective countries.

Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT)

A governmental agency which exercises the state management of tourist operations and activities throughout Vietnam. It has full control in terms of business development, planning, public relations, personnel training, conducting research, instructing and inspecting the implementation of policies and other regulations in the tourism sector.

HCMC Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism

A city government organisation, responsible for tourist related business administration and management. Some core functions of this department is in the support of travel business activities through the organisation of events that will promote the city’s destination and enhance its image.

Vietnam Trade Fair & Advertising Joint Stock Company (VINEXAD)

A state owned company belonging to the Ministry of Industry & Trade. They are responsible for the coordination and implementation of trade promotion activities through the organisation of exhibitions, trade fairs and the like in Vietnam and participating in international exhibitions.
